i'll meet you at lowther subway station.....

lowther? lowther? torontonians probably are wondering, 'wtf is she talking about?'

i recently came across one of the kewlest toronto sites i've ever found.... it is the secrets of the ttc... (sadly, yes, i can admit i'm quite the bloody git for thinking this is cool - but it really really is!)

this page gives you station maps so you can most efficiently plan your speedy escape from those who dwell under the ground... seriously - it's very cool. you should check it out.

armed with this knowledge i shall soon become an unstoppable force! anyone who travels with me on the ttc knows that i have a pretty good sense of where to get on trains in order to be dropped off right at the nearest escalator at the destination station. i don't know how i do it. i think it's my one talent. you know, like when people are being nice to you and say, "don't worry that you're not a painter/dancer/musician/etc, everyone has a talent." i think subway exit divination is my one talent. not to quibble - but when talent was being handed out, i think i got in the wrong line. maybe that's what my talent should of been - knowing which 'future earthbound talent' line to get into!

i digress.... where were we? oh yes, lowther station. this site also has quirky station facts such as spadina station was originally supposed to be called lowther - but in a cost-saving effort that i don't quite follow - it was named spadina in order to hire only 1 ticket-taker. (who knows). fact remains, it's cool to know spadina's REAL name. it's also cool to know that dufferin station has no known quirk.... yet.....
